HOW DO THE RETAIL GROWTH PROGRAMS WORK?
Discovery Call
We start with a free 30-minute discovery call. No obligation — it’s simply a chance for us to see if we’re the right fit.
We’ll talk about your business’s biggest challenges and opportunities, your priorities, and what you hope to achieve with a coach.
I’ll explain my skills, knowledge and experience, and you can ask any questions you have.
Together, we’ll sketch out what coaching could look like based on your goals. Flexibility is the key so we can adjust timing to your needs.
If you’d like to proceed, we’ll agree on the scope of work, I’ll provide a final quote, and once you’re happy, we both sign off and payment is made. This is required for the WA Small Business Grant, as you claim the matched funding back after completing the program.
Strategic Mystery Shop
Before our first coaching session, I’ll complete a Strategic Mystery Shop of your business (if you’re in South West WA or Perth).
This is not a standard mystery shop — it’s a high-level review of your customer experience, sales process, and operational strengths and weaknesses.
You’ll receive a detailed report with insights and opportunities tailored to your business.
This gives us a strong foundation to work from, ensuring our coaching sessions are based on real evidence and practical improvements.
The Strategic Mystery Shop is included at no additional cost in both my Growth (3-month) and Scale (6-month) programs.
First Meeting
Our first session sets the tone for our work together.
Using the discovery call insights and your Strategic Mystery Shop report, we’ll create a clear and measurable Strategic Action Plan.
This plan will be our roadmap between where you are now and where you want to be — whether your focus is on a specific project or broader goals like leadership and team development.
Ongoing Meetings
Each session is designed to move you closer to the goals we’ve set in your Strategic Action Plan.
The plan isn’t static — we’ll review and adjust as needed so it stays relevant and practical.
Between sessions, I’m available by email for questions, guidance, or just to bounce around ideas. If needed, we’ll jump on a call to keep momentum going.
Final Meeting
We’ll review the objectives set at the start, celebrate what you’ve achieved, and map out your next steps.
Sometimes this is the natural end point and you’re ready to move forward on your own. Other times, we’ll create a new scope of work to continue building on the growth you’ve started.

A standard mystery shop is a tick-box exercise. Our Strategic Mystery Shop is a $1,500 diagnostic that benchmarks your business and produces a practical action plan, combined with coaching support.

Absolutely! Prior to beginning, we will both sign a confidentiality document.
By signing this document, I agree to keep all discussions, data, initiatives and results confidential and will not share with any other party unless you give me permission or request it.
At the same time, you will agree to not share any of the documents, templates or specific stategies that I give you with other third parties outside your company or business advisors. I’m sure you will understand that what I provide is the intellectual property of The Retail Toolkit and we like to keep that for those that we work with, such as yourself.
